Marie Occhiogrosso graduated magna cum laude from Duquesne University with undergraduate degrees in English Literature and English Education.  She has been a Harriton English teacher since 2006 and taught every grade and level--from ninth grade students with learning exceptionalities to advanced seniors through the International Baccalaureate program.  She has written curriculum for the International Baccalaureate program, the district writing program, the summer reading program, and the ninth and tenth grade courses.  She holds a masters in curriculum and instruction, and has also taught a freshmen-level college course, as well as IB students abroad in Vienna, Austria.

Marie has worked in standardized test prep since 2004, and has supported students in improving their SAT and ACT scores to help students actualize their college aspirations.  She started a private practice on the Main Line supporting students through all aspects of the college admissions process, focusing on Best Fit and financial feasibility. Her education and predilection for writing helps students craft specific, evocative college essays to craft a cohesive narrative.  After completing UCLA's graduate certificate program in College Admissions Counseling and regularly pursuing professional development in the field of admissions, she is excited to come on board and guide the Mesivta's young men through their post-high school planning process and the admissions cycle.
